Online Marketing Specialist

T2 Media is looking for an energetic individual to help promote its growing portfolio of websites. We have created properties grounded in offering user utility and value. Now we need to spread the word. Your primary responsibility will be to get other sites to link to us, but you will also play a role in developing more in-depth partnerships, general promotion and community development.

Responsibilities:
  • Research, track and organize sites that would be natural link partners to our properties
  • Design and execute link development communication plans
  • Develop on-site content or tools to attract links (AKA "link-bait")
  • Initiate in-depth partnerships and sponsorships with select sites
  • Grow and develop community members
Skills:
  • Exemplary research skills, intense attention to detail
  • Strong, efficient writing ability
  • Sales/PR orientation: ultimately you need to be promoting our properties and closing partners
  • Understand and comfort with blogs, social media and SEO
  • Ability to observe techniques that work in one area and creative apply them in our environment

This position can be scaled from 10 to 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be located in the San Francisco Bay Area, but we will consider candidates located throughout the United States. You will report to the CEO who has worked at Yahoo, Intuit, Excite@Home, Microsoft/WebTV and Hewlett-Packard.
